The inspection of seat belts is crucial, and a large number of accidents have shown that failure to inspect personal protective equipment as required, lack of understanding of the requirements for use, lack of management, etc., once an accident occurs, it will cause irreparable consequences. Therefore, personal protective equipment, like other safety equipment, must meet the requirements of national and industry laws, administrative regulations, rules, mandatory standards and technical regulations on safety tools.
Safety harnesses and safety ropes must be inspected in detail before and after use to ensure their good working condition.
1. The inspection card of the safety harness and safety rope lists the possible fault situations. For the safety of the staff, if there is any doubt, a safety check of the harness must be carried out. Check the label for compliance with the requirements for use.
2. All parts should be smooth, no material or manufacturing defects, no sharp corners or sharp edges. The figure 8 ring and the fret ring should not have sharp corners and chamfers, and the rounded corner transition above R4 should be used between the geometric surfaces. Check the suture site for disconnection lines; whether the wear of the internal strap of the fastener is intact; whether the wear condition of the surface of the belt is intact; Check whether the metal parts are complete and open.
3. The safety rope used for welding, furnace front, high dust concentration, strong friction, cut hazard, electrostatic hazard, chemical injury and other places should be added with corresponding sheath.
4. The seat belt should not have obvious asymmetric slip or asymmetrical deformation; The slip of the webbing or rope within the adjustment buckle should not be greater than 25 mm.
5. Thinner people wear, the strap is longer but not allowed to cut short, otherwise the head is easy to unbuckle, rope, webbing each fluttering head should have a hoop.
6. After one year of use, a comprehensive inspection should be done, and 1% of the used should be extracted for tensile test, and the components should be qualified without damage or major deformation (the tested shall not be used again).
7. The safety harness and safety rope should be inspected by experts once before use, and if necessary, ask the manufacturer to repair or replace the safety belt.
